Fun Friday DIY Ornaments
The Christmas season is here and no matter how hectic everything
gets, I always feel inclined to create.
Here is a wonderful site with some gorgeous, simple and creative ornaments.
Have some friends over, sip hot chocolate (or stronger if you are so inclined),
munch on cookies and create to your heart's content.

Here's my favorite
Baby Sock Snowman Ornament
Why we love it: This baby Frosty is so simple and just too cute! You can even use a sock your little one has outgrown to create a sentimental keepsake.
What you need: White baby socks; cotton stuffing; pom-poms; rubber bands; google eyes; ribbon; and hot glue gun
How to make it: Stuff cotton into the socks. Wrap a rubber band around the middle and around the top where the cuff of the sock starts. Fold down the cuff to make the hat. Add a dot of hot glue where his "ears" would be to hold it down. Tie a ribbon around his neck, and hot glue a ribbon loop at the top of his hat. Hot glue the google eyes and a pom-pom on top.

Paper Poinsettia Ornaments
Why we love it: Simple, versatile and beautiful. These flowers can be hung on the tree, strung together to make a garland, or used instead of a bow on a gift or box of home baked goodies. They’re also a festive addition to a scrapbook cover or homemade card.
What you need: For each flower you'll need 11 strips of paper 3/4 in wide and approximately 17 inches long; 3 gold beads; white glue; a quilling tool (or toothpick); and string (for hanging the ornaments)
How to make it: Wind one strip of paper around your tooth pick or quilling tool and the allow it to unwind. You'll be left with a loosely coiled circle. Close the open end of the coil with a small amount of glue. Pinch the circle into a marquise (or eye) shape. Continue with the remaining strips of paper. Assemble your flower and decorate the center with gold colored beads. Attach a string if using as an ornament.
