I love flats! I've worn them for years or gone barefoot or worn moccasins. Guess what? I have plantar fasciitis prob'ly caused by all of the above. There is a thin membrane which stretch from under one's toes to the Achille's tendeon. When this membrane shrinks, it becomes uncomfortable to painful. On my podiatrist's recommendation, I now have crocs for around the house (outside too but not too often), Dansko clogs for out and about - but can still wear my all time favorites: cowboy boots. Cheers for their high arches! Oh, and I can wear flats for dressy non-walking occasions!
