Fun Friday--Really, You Used Rice??

We all know that a few grains of rice in your salt shaker keeps the salt
useable but what else can we do with it?

Wet phone, landline or cell? Dropped your phone in the pool or tub, take it apart and put all the pieces into a dish of uncooked rice. Leave it a few days and reassemble. The rice will absorb the moisture.

Ahh, soothe those aches. Put uncooked rice in a sock and knot the end. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds, and use it where ever it hurts. Or throw it in the freezer and use it as an icepack. Can't knot the ends? Use a rubberband.

Put it in an old vase with some dishsoap and scrub it clean.

Run it through your coffee grinder once a month to clean it out.

Make a animal toy by filling a container such as a pill bottle.

Prevent rust in metal objects by pouring a few grains in the bottom. Use it in your garden supplies to keep the tools rust free.
